Corporate Social Responsibility Statement
Toner Inc (established 2004) is committed to its corporate social responsibility and understands the importance of conducting its business in a sustainable, equitable and community-focused way that has social, economic and environmental benefits. Toner Inc is accredited with ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Toner Inc is concerned about the environment and recognises that good environmental management must be an integral and fundamental part of its business strategy. In the course of its operations, Toner Inc continues to monitor and improve its environmental performance by:-
Conserving energy, water, wood, paper and other resources, particularly those which are scarce or non-renewable
Reducing waste through re-use and recycling and by using refurbished and recycled products
Monitoring relevant discharges and emissions to air, land and water to ascertain what action is necessary to reduce pollution or the risk of pollution
Monitoring noise pollution and ensuring that noise from vehicles or any of its operations does not impact upon its neighbours or the community
Phasing out, where practical, ozone depleting substances and minimising the release of greenhouse gases
Toner Inc ensures that its activities do not have any adverse effect on the local community. It endeavours to carry out its business activities during normal working hours in order to limit the impact of noise pollution, dust pollution and CO2 emissions. Basic principles of no revving up, no leaving vehicles idle with engines running and adherence to speed limits are adopted.
Toner Inc’s vehicles meet the required low emission zone standards and are all regularly serviced. Tyre pressure, tyre wear and tear, steering tracking and fuel consumption are regularly monitored. All routes and modes of transport are planned carefully in order to minimise costs and improve efficiency.
Toner Inc purchases redundant, unused toner and inkjet cartridges. Damaged box, opened box and out-of-box cartridges are repackaged in plain white boxes and re-sold into the marketplace. End-of-line, slow-moving, out-of-date and obsolete products are sold via a network of traders that Toner Inc has established over the past eleven years. As an alternative to disposing of these products and in line with its ‘zero to landfill’ policy, Toner Inc sells its products at a highly discounted price thereby benefitting the consumer as well as the environment.
Toner Inc is an equal opportunities employer. No discrimination by an employee on the grounds of sex, race, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, marital status, sexual orientation, age or disability is tolerated.
Toner Inc is committed to ensuring that its activities do not have a negative impact on the environment, community or its employees and business associates. In line with its responsibility as an employer, purchaser of goods and services and a manager of transport, energy, water and waste, Toner Inc actively reviews its systems and policies so that its sustainability goals are maintained and/or improved.
